Actually, this one is pretty simple. The more time we invest in your own growth – through formal education, all the various forms of informal education, and attempting new things (a.k.a. experience) – the better we get. (This of course assumes we approach each of them with an intent to learn and we take time for reflection.)
The better we get, the less our situation or circumstance impact our results. This is just as true in life, as it is in sports, or any other endeavor.
They say that if all the wealth of a country was equally distributed to the people (rather than having roughly 80% of it in the hands of 20% of the people). Within 5 years the 20% would once again have 80% of the wealth. Why? The 20% knows how to acquire wealth (how to profitably provide a valuable product or service the marketplace desires) and the 80% do not.
